Alternative Dispute Resolution Certificate

Alternative Dispute Resolution

Specialization/Certificates are earned when a HSML major or UNT Dallas student completes a minimum of 12 hours of advanced-level course work in one of the approved human services specialization or certificate programs. The student develops advanced knowledge and skills by completing the required coursework.

The Alternative Dispute Resolution certificate teaches students theories of conflict management and conflict resolution skills. Through courses in ADR students learn such procedures as arbitration, mediation, negotiation, neutral fact-finding, panel review, and other alternatives to litigation.
**Effective Fall 2011; the COMS and AECO prefix has changed to PACS. The content and official title of the courses has not changed.
